Thanks to the generous gifts of local donors at Salvation Army Red Kettles, online, and at our Member Services desk, local individuals and families receive assistance and life enrichment in many areas: swim lessons, skills classes, fitness training, creative arts education, day camp, community-wide food distributions during COVID-19, and much more.

Scholarships: The Greatest Need
Kroc Center Hawaii has a variety of scholarship programs throughout the year that impact our community, including athletic programs, arts classes, and memberships. Each of our scholarships require financial assistance through private and corporate donations. Kroc scholarships help to:
Offer meaningful programs regardless of income
Enrich the lives of seniors
Strengthen families
Teach children values and character
Provide opportunities for community engagement
Connect people to opportunities for spiritual discovery
Provide Life Enrichment classes to members and non-members
Distinguish ourselves with excellence and commitment to mission
Service with kindness, compassion, and excellence.
Volunteer at Kroc Center Hawaii
Volunteering can be one of the most enjoyable things you'll ever do, and not to mention, one of the most fulfilling. Kroc volunteers are held to the same standards as Kroc employees including application, background check, Child Safety training, and orientation. Volunteer opportunities may vary by season and include, but are not limited to, the following:
Helping out with special events and community events throughout the year, such as food distributions, seasonal events, and Angel Tree gift program
Assisting our Kroc Church ministry team
- Ringing a bell to raise funds at our Christmas Red Kettles
Assisting with youth sports and programs
Assisting members at our Aloha desk
Membership tours
And much more!
The Kroc Center relies on more than its paid staff to meet the mission of Joan Kroc—we need an army behind The Army. Mrs. Kroc was clear in her intent: The Kroc Centers were to be places where children can learn from one another, individuals can seek personal growth and development, and a place for the community to gather in leisure and fellowship in an environment that embraces the love and acceptance that Jesus Christ teaches us.
