Kroc Keiki Learning Center

Kroc Keiki Learning Center is a new option for preschool, offering children a safe, loving Christ-centered environment to learn and grow in! We believe each child is a unique gift from God. The teachers and staff are committed to nurturing each child’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical growth through a program that offers an environment rich in new learning experiences, play, exploration, and celebration.

How old does my child need to be to attend KKLC?
Kroc Keiki Learning Center is a licensed group care center & preschool for children ages 2–6.

Does my child have to be toilet trained?
Students ages 2–3 are not required to be toilet trained.

When is your enrollment period?
We offer a year-round program with continuous enrollment, space permitting.

How do I enroll my child?
Bring your completed KKLC Application for Enrollment and $50 non-refundable application fee to our office OR mail them to us at: Kroc Keiki Learning Center, 91-3257 Kualaka'i Parkway, Ewa Beach, HI 96706. When completing the application, please indicate the school year (SY) on the top of the Application for Enrollment. Please note: submitting an application does not guarantee a spot. Once accepted, you will be notified and the KKLC office will send you a full enrollment packet.

Can I enroll my child for multiple school years at one time?
Yes! Follow the above instructions for each school year you are interested in. A separate application fee + enrollment form is required for each school year.

Does your program have a religious component?
Yes! We are a Christian preschool. Your child's spiritual development is fostered through unconditional love and support they receive from our staff though prayers, songs and stories and recognition of creation and God's blessings. We also have weekly chapel, which includes short stories, songs, and prayer.

Are there extracurricular activities?
During the typical school year, KKLC students attend off-site field trips and enjoy swim days at the Kroc pool. However, for enhanced safety measures during the COVID-19 era, field trips and swim days are temporarily suspended.

My child is currently enrolled at KKLC. How do I make a payment?
Prior to enrollment, the Payment Information and Credit Card Payment Authorization Forms must be completed. Changes to automatic payment must be submitted by the 10th of the month to be effective for the following month’s auto payment.
If tuition does not process on the credit card on file, it is the responsibility of the family to make arrangements to pay the tuition fee prior to the 1st of the month. Payments can be made on or before the 30th/31st of the month at the Member Services Desk.

What if I decide that I need to withdraw my child?
Sixty (60) days written notice is required prior to the withdrawal of a child from the program.

What if I am late to pick up my child?
Parents are required to pick up their child no later than 5:30PM, based on the classroom clock. A late fee will be assessed of $10 for every ten (10) minutes, or portion thereof, that the child is picked up from the preschool after 5:30PM. The fee is to be paid directly to The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii at the time the child is picked up.

The health and safety of our students and staff are our top priority at Kroc Keiki Learning Center. We abide by CDC and City & County of Honolulu guidelines, which includes:

  • Masks and Six-foot Distancing: are required for staff, parents, and essential visitors at all times, including drop-off and pick-off of their children. Children under age 5 are not required to wear a mask.
  • Wellness Screening Process: Staff, children, and essential visitors are required to go through the Wellness Screening before entering the school, which takes place outside of the main preschool office. This includes a series of COVID-19 related questions, a visual inspection of the individual, and contactless temperature check.
  • Family Members: Parents/guardians and family members will not be permitted inside the Kroc Keiki Learning Center school facility. Only one parent/guardian is permitted to assist their child through the Wellness Screening Process/Drop-off and Pick-up of their child.

 

Exhibiting COVID-19 Related Symptoms
All staff, children and essential visitors will not be permitted into the school if they have a 100.4 F fever and/or show any signs of COVID-19 related symptoms:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Muscle or body aches
  • New loss of taste or small
  • Diarrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose or congestion
  • Headache
  • Nausea

Your child may return to the preschool once he/she is symptom free for 24 hours (without fever reducing medication, is no longer contagious to others, and is well enough to participate in regular classroom activities.

 

Dedicated to Everyone's Safety
All of us here at the Kroc Keiki Learning Center are dedicated and committed to keeping you, your children and family safe. The Kroc Keiki Learning Center Teaching staff and Kroc Housekeeping staff is working together to frequently sanitize high touch surfaces and shared resources indoors and outdoors. Extra deep cleaning of tables, chairs, countertops, restrooms and floors is done daily.
